Center for Character and Leadership Development

Center for Character and Leadership DevelopmentCreated in 1993, the Air Force Academy's Center for Character and Leadership Development serves as the focal point of the Academy's commitment to developing leaders of character.

The CCLD's mission is to advance the understanding, practice and integration of character and leadership development in preparation for service to the nation in the profession of arms.

The vision of the CCLD is to be the Air Force's premier center for integrating the development of character and leadership and the Academy's catalyst for achieving the institution's highest purpose.

The center's focus is to develop cadet character and leadership through high-quality daily interactions with faculty and staff.

The center's three areas of commitment are:

-- Elevate and integrate character and leadership development
-- Develop the character and leadership of cadets, faculty and staff
-- Advance the scholarship of character and leadership development
