Welcome to the Illinois Pollution Control Board's web site.
The Board is an independent agency created in 1970 by the Environmental
Protection Act. Under the Act, the Board is responsible for adopting
Illinois' environmental regulations and deciding contested environmental
cases. We are pleased to provide a Web site that gives you easy access to
Illinois environmental law and regulation and helps you participate in Board
proceedings. Thanks for your interest in the Board and in safeguarding our
air, water, and land.
