Consular Section, Embassy of the United States of America

Welcome to U.S. Embassy Kinshasa's Consular Section website. This site gives you access to a full range of Consular Services. The U.S. Embassy makes every effort to treat customers professionally and with dignity.

We provide the following visa services:

  • Non-immigrant Visas - temporary visits for pleasure, business, medical care, exchange programs, studies, and temporary employment.
  • Immigrant Visas - permanent residency, marriage to an American citizen, and adoptions.


Hours for Public Inquiries

  • General Inquiries
    Please call at 081-884-6859, Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
  • Non-immigrant Visa Services
    Please call at 081-880-3724 Monday to Thursday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • Immigrant Visa Services
    Please call at 081-880-5847, Monday from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.


Non-immigrant Visa Services

  • Official Travel

  1. DRC government employees applying for official visas (A&G) may    have their office of protocol drop their visa applications and supporting documents on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.  After a file review, the official traveler may be requested to do the visa interview with a consular officer.

  2. International organization employees applying for G4 visas may have their office of protocol drop their visa applications and supporting documents on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.  After a file review, the official traveler may be requested to do the visa interview with a consular officer.

  • Appointments 
  •  By phone at 081-880-5847: Monday from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
  • By email at AEKinshasaConsular@state.gov from Monday thru Friday.
