The U.S. Department of Labor today announced the results of its Tools for America's Job Seekers Challenge. Recommendations have been tallied, and the top-rated sites in each of six categories — general job boards, niche tools, career tools, career exploration tools, Web 2.0 and "other" — are now available.

Saturday, December 29, 2012 - All unemployment benefit extensions (EUC) expire on December 29.  PLEASE NOTE:  Even if you have a balance on your claim, the program ends and remaining funds WILL NOT be released to you.
 
TOYS FOR YOUR KIDS! Christmas Unlimited wants to help you.  Applications available at PPWFC. Age Eligibility: Child must have been born after December 24, 1999. Exception is any child for which the parent can present evidence that the child has a “special need” due to a mental or severe emotional condition, e.g.: - Down Syndrome - Severe learning disability - Functioning several years below actual age. DEADLINE, Friday, November 23.

 
TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY UI SESSIONS 
 

A UI counselor from Denver is at PPWFC each Tuesday and Wednesday. The counselor meets with job seekers on a first-come, first-served basis, starting at 8 a.m. Please go directly to Room 1019. Be prepared to wait.

 
FILING UI CLAIM

You may file for unemployment insurance using any computer that is connected to the Internet. To file: go to http://www.colorado.gov/cdle and click on the link, “file or reopen an unemployment claim.”

You are not required to visit our office in person to file a UI claim.  
 
















We do NOT Handle Unemployment Claims. You must go to the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment site...
 for UI claims.
