Comment Policy

We welcome your comments at Health.mil.

The purpose of the commenting feature on Health.mil is to facilitate an ongoing dialogue about topics concerning the Military Health System. We retain the discretion to determine which comments violate our comment policy. We also reserve the right to remove violations. We expect all contributors to be respectful.

For the benefit of robust discussion, we ask that comments remain "on-topic." A comment will be posted only if it relates to the topic discussed within the item it is submitted in response to.

Please observe the following rules or your comment will not be posted:

  • No profanity
  • No sexual content
  • No overly graphic, disturbing or offensive material
  • No vulgar or abusive language
  • No hate speech or offensive language targeting any specific demographic
  • No personal attacks
  • No spam
  • No promotions for commercial products or services
  • No unsolicited proposals or other business ideas or inquiries

Please contact the appropriate TRICARE office to have your TRICARE benefit questions answered. Health.mil is not designed to offer TRICARE customer service, and such questions submitted to Health.mil via the commenting feature will not be answered.

Members of the media are asked to send questions to the appropriate office of public affairs through their normal channels and to refrain from submitting questions here as comments. Reporter questions will not be posted.

The views expressed on the site by non-federal commentators do not necessarily reflect the official views of the Military Health System, the Department of Defense, or the federal government.

We recognize that the Web is a 24/7 medium, and your comments are welcome at any time. However, given the need to manage resources, moderating and posting of comments will occur during regular business hours, Monday through Friday. Comments submitted after hours or on weekends will be read and posted as early as possible; in most cases, this means the next business day.

If you do voluntarily include personally identifiable information in your comment, such as your name, that comment may be edited for content or it may not be posted to Health.mil. You have the option of posting comments anonymously.

This comment policy is valid for all discussions hosted on Health.mil, including those held as Healthy Debates and Webhall events.
