USPTO’s Office of Public Affairs Moves to New Facility

The Department of Commerce’s United States Patent and Trademark Office Office of Public Affairs moved this week to USPTO’s new headquarters in Alexandria, VA. The office is now located at:

600 Dulany Street
Madison West Building
First Floor
Alexandria, VA 22314

The office also has a new phone number: 571/272-8400.

The number of USPTO employees working at the new Alexandria headquarters passed the 5,000 mark last week. New arrivals this week include Under Secretary of Commerce for Intellectual Property Jon Dudas and Deputy USPTO Director Steve Pinkos. Also moving to Alexandria this week are the offices of the Commissioner for Patents, Commissioner for Trademarks, the Chief Financial and Administrative Officer, the offices of International Relations, Enforcement and Congressional Relations and the Office of the General Counsel.
When the move is completed in the spring of 2005, over 7,000 USPTO employees and contractors will be working in the five buildings of the Alexandria headquarters.
