Storm Data Acquisition is
a result of output from
quick response teams
fielded under the auspices
of the Office of the
Federal Coordinator for
Meteorology (OFCM). These
expert teams collect
perishable data following
extreme events where
damage to structures
and inundation areas
can be used to infer
wind speed, magnitude,
and classification of
the event. Teams are
fielded 12 to 24 hours
after an event. |
