Search Buying Request Valued at More Than $2.1 Billion at the US National Innovation Marketplace.

 

NIM – National Innovation Marketplace is a complimentary online service that connects manufacturers to technology and business opportunities resulting in new markets and new products necessary for success in the global marketplace.

The first step to using the USA NIM is to create an account, which allows you to access, view, and respond to any of the postings. Having an account also gives you the option of posting your own business opportunities. After creating your account you can browse the site, which is broken down in to three sections:

Innovation Buying Request  
In this section of the website, companies, and government entities, post over $2 billion in innovative buying opportunities for inventions and services. Requests are categorized by industry and area of expertise. Any company that can fulfill a given request can respond directly to the request with an electronic form provided on the USA NIM website. Search or browse to identify those that fit with your business.

Innovation Business Opportunities  
This section of the website contains $948 million in opportunities in a wide variety of new technologies, patents, and trade secrets that may enable new and/or improved products and services for your business. Generally, people are looking for companies that want to purchase, invest in, distribute, manufacture, or assist in research and development for these new technologies. Website users can respond directly if they are interested in any of the opportunities, which are categorized by service area and industry.

Manufacturing or R&D Expertise  
In this section of the website, companies post their areas of expertise, allowing users to easily find companies that may be able to help their businesses overcome specific challenges by providing manufacturing and research and development assistance. Users are also able to add their own companies to this listing, making themselves a visible resource for others looking to fulfill specific needs.

Currently the NIM is actively collecting sellers, buyers, investors and distributors, with the ultimate goal of offering multiple listing service for innovations. The National Innovation Marketplace is making it easier for companies to access innovations, financing, distributors or export opportunities that lead to more profitable customers, markets and products.
