Many of the chronic diseases that Veterans suffer from are preventable by exchanging unhealthy behaviors for healthy ones. To encourage Veterans to choose healthy behaviors, the National Center for Health Promotion and Disease Prevention (NCP) has selected and developed nine evidence-based Healthy Living Messages. Korean War veteran, Mr. Francis “Lyle” Auld of Wappapello and Vietnam veteran, Mr. Perry James of Corning competed in the recent National Veterans Golden Age Games in St. Louis. John J.
