The walk-in flu shot clinics at the main VA Medical Center in Iron Mountain are postponed until further notice due to a delayed shipment of vaccine. Vaccines are available for those Veterans that need it and already have an appointment with their VA physician. Flu shots at the seven community VA Outpatient Clinics ARE also available as scheduled (click here).

Flu season is here! The Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center and its seven community outpatient clinics (OPC) have scheduled walk-in clinics for enrolled Veterans to receive free flu shots. No appointment is necessary. Everyone six months old and older is encouraged to get the flu vaccination, especially people who have a chronic health condition like asthma; diabetes; heart, lung or kidney disease; or reduced resistance to infection. Health care workers and other people who live with or care for high risk people are also highly encouraged to get vaccinated. Full Story
