Sequencing, Finishing and Analysis in the Future Meeting“Sequencing, Finishing and Analysis in the Future” (SFAF) is an annual meeting dedicated to bringing together experts in the field of genomic sequencing, finishing and analysis - including representatives from the industries that serve this specialized scientific community. The meeting focuses on laboratory methods and computational tools used to help sequence, assemble, and finish genomes, including new sequencing technologies, which promise high-throughput results by sequencing more base-pairs per run at longer read-lengths. In the past, companies have presented different techniques they have developed to achieve maximum balance for researchers. Areas of emphasis at the annual Meeting include:Genome Sequencing:
Genome Assembly:
Genome Finishing:
Genome Analysis:
The Sequencing, Finishing and Analysis in the Future meeting is sponsored by Los Alamos National Laboratory and the Department of Energy Joint Genome Institute. No registration fee is required. Participants need to cover travel costs, hotel and dinner charges. Breakfast, lunch and snacks will be provided.
