Super Bowl coverage on American Forces Network announced

1/31/2011 - SAN ANTONIO (AFNS) -- Super Bowl XLV will be broadcast on both American Forces Network television and radio on Feb. 6.‪ Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines deployed in 175 countries and 140 Navy ships overseas will be provided almost 20 hours of original, Super Bowl-related programming. Viewers and listeners can check www.myafn.net for schedules and local air times.

AFN's TV coverage of Super Bowl XLV begins at midnight California time on Feb. 6 (0900 CET / 1100 Iraq / 1230 Afghanistan / 1700 Japan/Korea) with special pre-game programming followed nine hours later by some great shows from FOX: "Road To The Super Bowl," "Troy Aikman's Super Bowl Greats" and the "Super Bowl XLV Pre-Game Show."‪

Fox's Super Bowl game coverage starts at 3 p.m. PST (Feb. 7 at 0000 CET / 0200 Iraq / 0330 Afghanistan / 0800 Japan/Korea) with the kick off approximately 20 minutes later.‪

AFN's radio Westwood One-coverage on starts at 3 p.m. PST (Feb. 7 at 0000 CET / 0200 Iraq / 0330 Afghanistan / 0800 Japan/Korea). AFN Radio also will be carrying the NFC and AFC Championship games live.‪
