CDSE Releases "Personnel Clearances In The NISP" Course (IS142.16)

September 13, 2011 - This 2-hour, web-based course includes instruction on the personnel security requirements for contractors participating in the National Industrial Security Program (NISP) and how those requirements are implemented by the Department of Defense (DoD). The course includes guidance on the roles and responsibilities of a Facility Security Officer (FSO) in meeting these requirements.

The primary target audience is Facility Security Officers at cleared DoD contractor facilities participating in the NISP. Secondary audiences include other contractor security personnel, DSS Industrial Security Representatives, and DoD Industrial Security Specialists.

This is the last course being developed in a suite of 10 courses that will replace the Essentials of Industrial Security Management (EISM) online course and will be included in the FSO training curriculum for both possessing and non-possessing facilities.
