Advanced airborne support of America’s Navy Planes
Whether used as an early-warning system, threat deterrence or strike force, Navy planes and jets utilize advanced electronics, computerized sensors and threat-analysis equipment, and all-weather capabilities to put the “forward” in a forward-deployed, global presence.
F/A-18C Hornet
This agile, multi-mission fighter/attack aircraft is the centerpiece of an air wing’s potent striking power. Capable of delivering precision weapons day or night, the F/A-18C has a state-of-the-art air-to-ground weapons suite.
E-2C Hawkeye
The “eyes” of the air wing, this airborne early warning command and control aircraft produces the big picture for the battle group. An integral component of the carrier air wing, the E-2C uses computerized sensors to provide early warning, threat analysis and control of counteraction against air and surface targets.
EA-18G Growler
The EA-18G combines the capability of the combat-proven Super Hornet with the latest AEA avionics suite evolved from the Improved Capability III (ICAP III) system. The EA-18G’s vast array of sensors and weapons provides the warfighter with a lethal and survivable weapon system to counter current and emerging threats.
