Share Your Research, Reports, and Best Practices in ERIC

Trouble easily locating and sharing Native education research and success stories? NIEA and ERIC, the Education Resources Information Center, have partnered to address this challenge. ERIC is a free, searchable online digital library maintained by the U.S. Department of Education's Institute of Education Sciences. ERIC contains over a million Native and non-Native education-related documents, most in full-text, including books, journal articles, theses and dissertations, reports, policy papers, and conference papers. NIEA partners with ERIC to share Native education research and best practices among researchers, educators, practitioners, parents, students, and others who are learning about or working improve education for our Native students.  

Search ERIC

Searching for Native education documents in ERIC is free, easy, and open to the general public. You can do a simple search on ERIC's home page or an advanced search. You can search by keywords or Thesaurus Descriptors. A starter list of Thesaurus Descriptors will help you conduct Native education searches in ERIC. Video tutorials are available to show you how to conduct searches in ERIC if you need help.
 
ERIC also encourages Native educators to help improve the Thesaurus Descriptors. If you would like to make recommendations to improve the list of Native education Thesaurus Descriptors, please contact ERIC.

Publish in ERIC

NIEA encourages researchers and educators to publish their Native education research, reports, and best practices in ERIC. Submission is free and you retain the copyright. Share your work with Native educators now and for generations into the future.
 
ERIC is actively seeking your submissions and provides a submission overview to get you started. A checklist is available containing document preparation tips and sample abstracts. All submissions require a paper or report. Presentation slides, images, graphs, and spreadsheets may only be submitted as appendices to a paper or report. A video tutorial as well as  step-by-step instructions are available if you need help with your submission. You may also contact NIEA for assistance.
