15th Annual NIEA Legislative Summit
February 13-15, 2012
Each year, the NIEA Legislative Summit brings members and Native education advocates from around the nation to Washington, D.C. to unite as one voice in the halls of Congress and the White House. This three day gathering provides in-depth policy analysis on NIEA's latest federal public policy priorities affecting families, schools and communities. Many U.S. Congressional members and other organizations serving Native students come to present how they are planning to move forward with Native education policies in the upcoming year.
With the passage of President Barack Obama's Executive Order - Improving American Indian and Alaska Native Educational Opportunities and Strengthening Tribal Colleges and Universities on December 2, 2011, it is more important than ever to lend your voice and support during the Summit!
