Alabama ESGR Bosslift to Camp Atterbury, IN
Montgomery, AL- Twenty Three Alabama employers visited Camp Atterbury, Indiana on a Boss Lift conducted 17-18 July. The group traveled to and from Camp Atterbury aboard an Air Force Reserve Command C-130 from the 908th Airlift Wing at Maxwell. Four volunteers from the Alabama Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (organization/committee) escorted the group.

Alabama ESGR Honors Northport Medical Center
Morthport, AL - Northport Medical Center was recognized in June for its support of employees in the Guard or Reserve with the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) Above and Beyond Award. ESGR is a Department of Defense volunteer organization. The distinctive award recognized the commitment of the hospital to support its employees who either were activated on a temporary basis or who were called into active duty in defense of the country.

Navy Region Southwest Reserve Component Command Holds Change of Command Ceremony on U.S.S. Midway Museum, San Diego, CA
San Diego, CA: As time-honored traditions go, the United States Navy has plenty. But few are more unique than the “Change of Command” ceremony. On July 27, 2012, on the flight deck of the U.S.S. Midway Museum overlooking San Diego bay, the Navy Region Southwest Reserve Component Command (NRSWRCC) held its Change of Command ceremony as Captain Marcus J. Cromartie, USN, was relieved as commander NRSRCC by Captain James F. Hughes, USN.
