10/2/2012 - U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. (AFNS) -- Air Force Academy officials identified Oct. 1 the cadet who died Sept. 28 as Cadet 1st Class Matthew Patrick, 22, of Dallas.

Patrick was found unconscious and transported to Penrose Hospital in Colorado Springs, where he was pronounced dead.

He was an aeronautical engineering major. He is survived by his mother, father and sister. The cause of the death is under investigation.
