Dr. Richard J. Cleave and his wife Barbara affirmed their support for the National Guard and Reserve which represent 48% of our nation’s total defense. Their son, Rick, served overseas with the United States Marine Corps and lost his hearing as a result of an IED explosion. Currently, he is studying for a career in pharmacy in Hawaii.

Representatives of the Nebraska Employer Support for Guard and Reserve recognized Mike Kuhns of Arps Red-E-Mix for the help he has given to a U.S. Army Reserve soldier. Steve Hokamp, ESGR area chairperson, and Steve Tellatin, training coordinator for the ESGR executive committee, presented Kuhns and Arps Red-E-Mix the ESGR Patriot Award, which is given to an employer nominated by a service member for the support of the Guard or Reserve service.

The president of UPS in St. Louis County Judy Henry (left) joined Missouri ESGR Volunteer Bob Schure in welcoming back SGT Robb Breck. Adding to the welcome is US Senator Roy Blunt of Missouri and Al Worthy the District Transportation Manager for UPS. SGT Breck nominated his employer for an ESGR Patriot Award which was presented to Ms Henry.
