TPC - Round 2

In September, 2009, the National Institute of Corrections began Round 2 of the Transition from Prison to Community (TPC) initiative. Six states (Iowa, Kentucky, Minnesota, Tennessee, Texas, and Wyoming) were selected in a competitive process to receive technical assistance to implement the TPC model. Technical assistance will be provided by NIC's project partners, The Center for Effective Public Policy (CEPP) and the Urban Institute (UI).

Round 2 follows successful implementation of the TPC model in eight states during the first round of this NIC initiative.

As work continues in the six states during Round 2, products and lessons learned will be shared on this NIC website and a website dedicated to the TPC initiative. That site, PrisonTransition.com, is currently under construction. For more information on the TPC initiative, contact NIC's Project Manager Kermit Humphries, or CEPP's Project Director Peggy Burke (pburke@cepp.com).
