Washington, D.C. Office
The Washington, D.C. office serves as a hub for the legislative activity for Senator Crapo. It is located in the Dirksen Senate Office Building on Capitol Hill.
The Dirksen Senate Office Building, built from 1956-1958, is one of three buildings on Capitol Hill that houses numerous offices for U.S. Senators as well as offices for committees and other Senate officers. Originally called the New Senate Office Building, in 1972, it was renamed in honor of Everett M. Dirksen, an Illinois Republican who served in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1933 to 1949 and the U.S. Senate from 1951 to 1969. Dirksen was the Republican minority leader from 1959 until he passed away in 1969. He also won a Grammy award for an album of his speeches.
