LB&I Job Opportunities for Course Writers/Developers, On-the-Job Instructors, and Instructors

On October 28, 2009, President Obama signed the National Defense Authorization Act for FY 2010 (NDAA). This law authorizes Federal agencies to reemploy Federal annuitants (REAs) under certain limited conditions without a dual compensation reduction, i.e., allow REAs to receive both their full annuity without reduction and reemployed annuitant pay. This authority expires five years after the date of enactment (i.e., October 27, 2014). For more information, please see IRS Job Opportunities for Department of Treasury Retirees.

If needed LB&I will hire under this authority in FY 2012.

To apply for the LB&I positions, you will need to complete and return an application form and a Declination of Employment With Internal Revenue Service if Salary Offset Waiver Form is not Granted . The application form and waiver are fillable PDFs, meaning you can fill them out on your own computer and submit them electronically. Here's what you do:

  1. Complete each form by providing the requested information.
  2. When you are done, save the forms to your computer's hard drive, giving them suitable identifying file names, for example, "Application-JaneSmith.pdf" or "Waiver-JaneSmith.pdf."
  3. Attach and send the stored PDF files via an email message to Keira Ruggiero  at IRS/LB&I Human Capital Management.

If you would prefer to not send your personal information via email, you are welcome to send a hardcopy via U.S. Mail to:
