Yesterday marked thirty years since the first cases of AIDS were reported in the United States. This Wednesday, June 8th at 10am EST, the Secretary of Health and Human Services and the Department of Health and Human Services will host a live videocast of a symposium in Washington, DC, “Commemorating 30 Years of Leadership in the Fight Against HIV/AIDS”. The event will “honor the leadership of countless civil servants, scientists, doctors, and community advocates in our 30 year fight against AIDS…It’s our hope to not only commemorate past leadership in this collective effort, but to inspire current and future leaders to continue the fight.” Speakers will include:

There is a Man in Killeen, TX that has written a very touching play about a College girl with AIDS, he did this as another way to get the message out. The Play will be seen at the Texas NAACP State Convention in Fort Worth, TX. We need to get the word out to all about AIDS and the fact that it’s spreading and not just going to go away.
