Army

U.S. Army Deputy Chief of Staff  This website provides Army G-1 resource information for Soldiers, families, and retirees to address numerous topics, such as health promotion, well-being, and suicide prevention. The suicide prevention material on the site addresses suicide warning signs for Soldiers and how to help others who may be suicidal.   

United States Army Office of the Chief of Chaplains  This is the official website for the Office of the Chief of Chaplains.  The website highlights several programs, including the Strong Bonds program, a unit-based, chaplain-led program that helps Soldiers and their families build strong relationships. The program's mission is to build Soldier readiness by providing skills the Soldier can use to strengthen his or her marriage and other relationships. 

U.S. Army Center for Health Promotion and Preventive Medicine  The Center implements preventive medicine and public health and wellness services under the Directorate of Health Promotion and Wellness (DHPW). The website offers a podcast that discusses suicide prevention.

Army Behavioral Health This site provides well-being information for service members and families, including a number of helpful Frequently Asked Questions regarding mental health concerns and resources. The site has a section on suicide prevention that includes an article on Army suicide data, the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) suicide hotline number, and material about suicide prevention.

Marine Corps

Marine Corps Community Services   This website provides information pertaining to military life, family life, and retiree life issues. Under the Military Life section of the website, Marines and their family members can access information about suicide prevention on topics including suicide and depression, how to help when someone may be suicidal, and the myths and facts about suicide.

Navy and Marine Corps Public Health Center This site is dedicated to disease prevention and health promotion to ensure mission readiness. The website addresses many aspects of health and wellness, including suicide warning signs and risk factors, stress, nutrition, mental health, substance abuse, physical fitness, and tobacco cessation.

United States Navy Chaplain Corps  This website provides basic information about the Navy Chaplain Corps, including a directory and links to relevant policy.  It also provides links to family support programs and services and a number of self-help articles on topics including stress management, overcoming depression, and suicide prevention.

Navy Fleet and Family Support Centers  This website provides information about Fleet and Family Support Center programs and a directory listing for the Centers. This site also provides access to Navy FAP. Under sections for military members and families, there is helpful information about deployment readiness and personal counseling options.

Department of the Navy: Minding Your Mental Health The information included on this website is intended to help Sailors and their family members make informed decisions about their mental health and well-being.  The site includes sections on mental health facts, reasons to seek help, selecting a therapist, and treatment approaches. The site also provides an informative section on suicidal thoughts and suicide prevention.

Air Force Link This website provides a number of informative articles on Airmen and deployment-related stress, focusing on how to cope with stress, relationship health for readiness, and the support centers available to Airmen and their families.

AF Community This website provides a number of resources for service members and their families in their family life section. 

Air Force Family Advocacy Program  This website is the central online resource for Air Force FAP and is regularly updated with new information.  It includes links to a video center with visual training materials and other materials describing domestic abuse support programs and a suicide prevention programNote:  The Air Force FAP site currently requires a Common Access Card, but the video center may be accessed from any computer.

United States Air Force Chaplain Service  The Air Force Chaplain Service provides for the free exercise of religion for military members and their families.  The chaplains conduct worship services, religious rites, and pastoral counseling.  This website provides basic information about this service.
