The Department of Defense recognizes the importance of recreation and its relationship to the overall well-being of service members and their families. For that reason, the military offers numerous programs and services aboard installations to help provide service members and their families with recreational opportunities. The military strongly encourages service members and their family members to take full advantage of the various programs and services available and ensure that they make time to recreate between work assignments.
