Resources

The military and the federal government provide numerous resources for service members and their families to help them with their legal matters.  Through the Legal Assistance Program, attorneys provide service members and their family members with information on legal options, assistance with preparation of legal documents (i.e., wills and estate planning, powers of attorney, etc.), and legal consultation and advice.  Although service members and their families may be able to find information relating to legal matters on-line, legal consultation and advice should only be provided by a licensed attorney.  More information on the services available through the Legal Assistance Program can be found at the installation Legal Assistance Office.
