NEUGEBAUER TESTIFIES ON THE IMPORTANCE OF DYESS AIR FORCE BASE

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Representative Randy Neugebauer (R-TX) testified in front of the House Armed Services Committee on the importance of Dyess Air Force Base in Abilene, TX. Neugebauer highlighted the crucial role the base’s missions play on a daily basis in our modern military, particularly the 7th Bomb Wing and the 317th Airlift Group:

“The men and women of Dyess play an essential, daily role in the defense of this great nation. Whether it’s 3,000 consecutive days of deployment by the busiest C-130 unit in the Air Force, or 10,000 combat missions by the workhorse of the bomber fleet, our troops on the ground don’t have to look up at the sky long before they’ll see a plane from Abilene, Texas.

“While West Texans and members of the military aren’t known for being boastful, it is my job to make sure folks here in Washington know how important their work is, and will continue to be, to the security of Americans.”
