Please join Jay Williams, Director of the Office of Recovery for Auto Communities and Workers and Deputy Director of the White House Office of Intergovernmental Affairs, and the U.S. Department of Labor’s Center for Faith-based and Neighborhood Partnerships for a symposium on the role of job clubs and career ministries in getting Wisconsinites back to work.
The November 8 symposium will: 1) spotlight the work of local job clubs, including how to start and effectively run these groups; 2) provide information on the resources offered by the workforce investment system; and 3) explore partnerships among job clubs, workforce agencies, employers, and others. Speakers and panelists will include job club leaders, nonprofit and government officials, and employers. Director Williams will deliver keynote remarks.
Please attend if the issue of jobs is important to you or your organization, if you are a workforce development/human resources professional or volunteer, if you are currently coordinating or interested in starting a job club or career ministry, and/or if you are interested in collaborations and partnerships.
