Welcome to DAU's newest blog! My name is John Higbee and I am the Executive Director, Mission Assistance (MA) for DAU.
This blog is the latest in a series of efforts to "get the word out" on how you can leverage DAU to help you seize opportunities, reduce risks, and enhance your ability to deliver capability to the user.
Mission Assistance is one of DAU's core functions, and we've been actively partnering "in the field" with acquisition teams for many years. We've assembled a great team of mission assistance experts within the DAU faculty that have extensive practical experience in parallel with deep acquisition knowledge. They come to any MA consult with the vital "been there, done that" tickets that allow them to quickly understand your unique situation, and use that understanding to collaboratively help you achieve your goals.
In the next few weeks, we'll be providing you a quick "walk through" of the many tools we have available to support you across the acquisition life cycle, as well as the "different scales" of support you can request (from individual, senior level support through major workshops involving extended government/industry teams). My "co-bloggers" (the Associate Deans for Outreach and Mission Assistance (ADOMAs) for our Regions, and DSMC-SPM) will be appearing on this blog and supporting this effort .
We've also revised the Mission Assistance website to make it more user friendly and to help you more easily contact region-specific MA leaders (the ADOMA and the MDAP Director). Here's a link to that site: DAU Internet (Mission Assistance webpage).
