The Office of National Drug Control Policy’s (ONDCP) Open Government Plan includes most of the components required by the OGD. The most impressive part of ONDCP’s plan relates to their Flagship Initiative, which will hopefully yield more data sets in the future. The Flagship Initiative focuses on involving the public in determining the types of data sets to release.

Unfortunately, the data sets that ONDCP discusses in the report do not appear to be as valuable as others that the agency holds. ONDCP’s plan would be improved by detailing exact steps that go beyond stating that they will develop a plan for this with consultation from the public.
