(202) 874-5770 Carrie Moore Named OCC Director for Congressional LiaisonWASHINGTON – The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency announced today that Carrie Moore has been named Director for Congressional Liaison. “Carrie is an invaluable asset for the OCC,” said Comptroller of the Currency Thomas J. Curry. “She has an in-depth knowledge of both the OCC and the legislative process, and she brings strong managerial skills to this position. All of those qualities make her a perfect choice to lead our Congressional Liaison unit.” Ms. Moore, who joined the OCC in 2008, had been Deputy Director for Congressional Liaison. She succeeds John Hardage, who retired from the OCC last year. Prior to joining the OCC, Ms. Moore was Director of the Office of External Affairs for the Office of the Special Trustee for American Indians, an agency of the U.S. Department of Interior. She served in a number of capacities on Capitol Hill between 1991 and 1999, working on national security issues for two House select committees, and as a professional staff member for the House Committee on Natural Resources. She graduated from the University of California in Los Angeles with a bachelor of arts degree in political science. # # #
