Fees & Reservations

The park itself has no fees or reservations associated with a visit. However for planned events dependent upon the activity and number of participants a permit may be required. Please refer to the permits section to find out more information.

Reservations for the Washington Monument are accepted though not neccesary. More information on these reservations can be found at the Washington Monument web page.

Burning of the Cherry Trees

The original gift of Cherry Trees from Japan in 1910 had to be destroyed due to disease and infestation. There was an additional gift made two years later that became the basis for the trees we still have today.
