Our office maintains current and former LANL employee's Official Personnel Folders (OPFs) and Benefits Folders. Contract employee records are kept by the contract company, not LANL.

ID required:
- Photo identification (passport, drivers license, or state ID card)
- Written release signed by the employee
- Credentials (i.e., FBI badge)
Where do I view a file?
Either at the Personnel Records Office in the Otowi or you may contact your deployed generalist for Prims access to view your file
Who has access to view employee files?
- Employee
- Authorized representative of current or former LANS/UC employee. Employees may give written authorization to a representative to review their employee file (i.e., investigator completing a security check).
- Line management
- Hiring officials
- Lab attorneys
- Other agents of the Laboratory (i.e., auditors, assessments office, DOE)
- Security investigators

- Entire folder: submit request to personnel@lanl.gov (allow 30 days)
- Specific documents: submit request to personnel@lanl.gov

Name changes for *LANL employees only
- How: in person only
- Where: TA-03, Bldg. 261 (Otowi), Personnel Records
- What to bring: Your new Social Security card showing your new name or your original receipt. No name change can be processed without this information.
* Contractors, send an email to 4myhrprod@lanl.gov and include Z#. If you do not have access to a computer, have your division office administrative assistant send the email.
