Headquarters United States Operation Command Where Our People Come First...

The purpose of the Headquarters United States Special Operations Command (HQ USSOCOM) Family Readiness Group (FRG) is to support the mission of the command by enhancing the well being of its families.

The FRG helps HQ USSOCOM personnel and their families enhance their quality of life and well being by developing and operating systems that provide information, offer support and outreach, promote involvement, and prevent isolation. During times of deployment, the FRG will identify the needs of family members and provide information and referral assistance.

 HQ USSOCOM Family Readiness Group!

In 2012 your USSCOM Family Readiness Group (FRG) will offer fresh ideas, new programs, and services for our USSOCOM personnel and their families.  For example, we are going to bring the professionals to you… Specialists within USSOCOM, MacDill helping agencies, and from the surrounding community will provide Subject Matter Expert Seminars (SMES) at HQ USSOCOM.  Subjects such as,  Post 9/11 GI Bill or Montgomery GI Bill, Retirement Benefits,  Federal Employment and Transition, Veterans Administration Information,  Local School Districts, and Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP) services,  just to name a few.  If you are unable to attend physically, you can attend virtually, because all seminars will be broadcasted live to your home or office and, the programs utilized will allow you to ask question and receive answers.

For our Children and Youth, USSOCOMS Operations Security (OPSEC) will be conducting quarterly workshops discussing the predatory behaviors of harmful strangers when using Social Networking and Cell Phones.

This is just a sneak preview…   The 2012 FRG Calendar is going to be loaded with opportunities for HQ USSOCOM to come together, have fun and spend quality time as a family.
