FHWA Ranked in Top 20 of Best Places to Work in Federal Government
For the second consecutive year, the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) ranks among the top 20 out of more than 200 Federal agencies to work in Federal Government.
FHWA works hard to attract and retain the finest employees. A recent survey shows that we're continuing to successfully cultivate a work environment that allows employees to put forth their best effort and collectively contribute to the great work we are doing to serve the traveling public.
In a survey of Government workers conducted by the nonpartisan think tank, Partnership for Public Service, FHWA ranked number 12 out of 224 "agency subcomponents" as one of the best agencies to work for in 2011. Despite a tightened budget, FHWA jumped an impressive seven spots from number 19 in 2010, to number 12 in 2011.
This year's Partnership survey also shows continued success by the Department of Transportation (DOT), retaining its 26th place ranking among large agencies.
The people of DOT and FHWA take great pride in what they do, and make service to the traveling public their top priority. This is an accomplishment we are extremely proud of!
