REVISED FORM 2730

Proprietors of distilled spirits plants and others concerned:

Purpose. This circular is issued to advise you that a new Part IV, Production of Brandy by Kind, has been added to Form 2730, Monthly Report of Production Operations, and that existing Parts IV and V have been redesignated as Parts V and VI, respectively.

Reporting production of brandy. New Part IV has been added to provide statistics concerning the production of brandy. Such production should be reported as follows:

1. Grape brandy (distilled at not more than 170 degrees of proof).

2. All other brandy (distilled at not more than 170 degrees of proof).

3. Neutral grape brandy (distilled at over 170 degrees and at less than 190 degrees of proof).

4. All other neutral brandy (distilled at over 170 degrees and at less than 190 degrees of proof).

Distribution and use of revised form. Your Assistant Regional Commissioner will furnish you with an initial supply of the revised Form 2730 as soon as they are available. Your report for the month of July 1970 which is due by August 10 should be submitted on the revised Form 2730. All unused previous revisions of Form 2730 may be destroyed.
