FURTHER ADJOURNMENT OF DISTILLED SPIRITS STANDARDS OF FILL
HEARING FROM NOVEMBER 30 TO DECEMBER 12, 1960.
Bottlers of Distilled Spirits, Importers,
Wholesalers, and others concerned.
At the conclusion of the sessions of the public hearing convened in
July, 1960, on a proposal to amend the standards-of-fill provisions
of the distilled spirits labeling regulations (27 CFR 5.73), held
pursuant to the requirements of the Federal Alcohol Administration
Act (27 U.S.C. 205), it was announced that the hearing would adjourn
to reconvene at 10:00 A.M. on November 30, 1960, for the purpose of
permitting the introduction of testimony and related data to be
secured by the proponents or other interested parties through a
consumer survey.
This office has now been advised that it will be impossible to
complete the survey so that the results may be presented on
November 30. Accordingly, the hearing scheduled for November 30,
1960, will be convened at 10:00 A.M. in the Director's office (Room
3601, Internal Revenue Building, 10th and Pennsylvania Avenue, N.W,
Washington, D. C.) at which time and place it is proposed to further
adjourn the hearing to December 12, 1960, at 2:00 P.M., in Room 3313,
Internal Revenue Building, 12th and Constitution Avenue, N. W.,
Washington, D. C.
