Returning Sailors and Soldiers Receive Welcome Care Packages From USO Hawaii
Sailors returning to Hawaii from having been stationed in Guam recently received USO Hawaii's care packages consisting of toiletry items such as mouth rinse, toothbrush, toothpaste, razor, soap, and shower caps.
Another group of one hundred fifty single soldiers from the 1-14 Infantry Battalion, Schofield Barracks received similar welcome home packages.
Donations of these much-needed items were provided by the Hawaii-based company, Patterson Dental, the Red Hatters, and anonymous donor drop-off s at the USO Honolulu Airport.Center.
When deployed troops come back to our islands, they usually arrive at odd hours, which doesn't give them the opportunity to get to the commissary. They are then expected to report back on duty the very next day-so these basic toiletry items are very much appreciated.
