As a strong cold front moves toward the east coast, it leaves much cooler air in its wake. Freeze Warnings are in effect as far south as the Texas panhandle and highs today are forecast in the 40s and 50s for much of the central part of the nation. Winter weather is in the forecast as well, with heavy snow possible in Eastern Wyoming and Western Nebraska.
