 The Air Force Academy is unique in its dual role as both an Air Force installation and a university.
The 10th Air Base Wing provides logistical, medical, fire response, security, civil engineering, family care and medical support across the 18,000-acre installation for a community of approximately 25,000.
The Dean of Faculty, Commandant of Cadets and Athletics Department staff provide cadets with a well-rounded four-year academic, military and athletic education and experience, developing more than 1,000 leaders of character annually for U.S. and allied armed forces.
The Preparatory School prepares qualified young men and women who are not accepted directly into the Academy academically, physically and militarily for possible admittance into the Academy.
