On Monday morning, a winter storm will enter southern Idaho, spreading rain at first throughout eastern and central Idaho. By Monday night, cooling temperatures in the mountains will mean snowfall. The snow will continue again on Tuesday and Tuesday night for elevations above 5500 feet. While most locations will see from 1 to 6 inches accumulate from Monday through late Tuesday night, The Sawtooth, Boulder, Smoky, and Pioneer mountain ranges will receive 5 to 8 inches above the 7500 foot elevation. Expect moderate to heavy rain for the Snake River plain and eastern Magic Valley during this time. Breezy to windy conditions are also forecast. (click for more)
