Life Stories: A Loving Mother and Tireless Advocate for Donation

Lorraine Spradling Lorraine Spradling

Donor Mom and Advocate: Los Lunas, NM

New Mexico native Jonathan Spradling played on two championship football teams in high school and served as both Senior Class President and Student Body President. Always ready to lend a hand to those in need, Jonathan gave the gift of life when he became an organ donor.

The Padilla-Spradling family established the Jonathan Sherman Spradling Memorial endowment as a living legacy to this talented young man. Jonathan’s mother, Lorraine, continues to serve as a tireless advocate on behalf of organ and tissue donation and with the help of Jonathan’s story, numerous pieces of pro-organ donation legislation have become law in New Mexico.

Lorraine’s story is courtesy of New Mexico Donor Services, Albuquerque, NM.

The Padilla-Spradling family established the Jonathan Sherman Spradling Memorial endowment as a living legacy to this talented young man.
