Mobile USO

Mobile USO

Throughout its history, the USO has served our troops at traditional, brick and mortar facilities. In 2007, the USO started taking its services on the road, out to the troops, with the Mobile USOs. This “USO on wheels” is designed to support troops serving in remote areas and locations without a USO center throughout the U.S.

The Mobile USOs provide a comfortable place for men and women in uniform to relax and connect online with family and friends during downtime. Each Mobile USO offers laptops, large screen televisions, video game consoles, Wi-Fi access, casual seating, refrigerators, coffee makers and microwaves.

The Mobile USOs also get the local community involved. The “HELLO! From the Homefront” program, designed specifically for the Mobile USOs, serves as a community and family outreach program. It allows the public to sign banners and families to videotape personal messages of support that are sent to service men and women serving in Operations Enduring and Iraqi Freedom.
