Albuquerque, NM - Deputies with the United States Marshal Service in South Carolina arrested Fletcher Schaffer in Lincolnville South Carolina. Schaffer was listed on both the Santa Fe Police Department Most Wanted and the Marshals Service District of New Mexico Most Wanted list and had been a fugitive from justice since March of 2011. Schaffer was wanted for violating his probation in the State of New Mexico. Schaffer was on Probation after being arrested for trafficking Methamphetamine. Schaffer’s criminal history consists of unlawfully carrying a concealed deadly weapon, trafficking controlled substance, and assault and battery. Chief Deputy Michael Ferstl said, “This arrest is another example of why the New Mexico’s Most Wanted Program is so successful. Our Investigators swiftly and efficiently utilize the resources from all of our law enforcement partners which enable our investigators to locate and apprehend criminals where ever they attempt to hide to include the most rural areas such as Lincolnville, South Carolina.”

Investigators with the United States Marshals Service, The Santa Fe Police Department and New Mexico Probation and Parole believed that Schaffer fled the State of New Mexico to South Carolina then Florida and back to South Carolina where he was ultimately arrested.
