The portfolio of surface acquisition projects recapitalizes the fleet’s cutters, patrol boats and utility craft, as well as improving the operational availability of legacy platforms. The projects of the surface domain–including the National Security Cutter (NSC), Offshore Patrol Cutter (OPC), Fast Response Cutter (FRC) and Response Boat-Medium (RB-M) projects–deliver new and improved platforms to the men and women of the surface forces, while providing state of the market mission equipment to improve their mission capabilities.
