Corporate Governance
One of TVA’s strategic objectives is to strengthen working relationships with all of its stakeholders. TVA believes that part of meeting this objective is employing sound governance and disclosure practices.
Disclosure Control Policy
TVA has adopted a Disclosure Control Policy which provides a framework for TVA to meet its obligations to disclose material information to the investment community and help investors develop and maintain realistic expectations regarding the performance of TVA and its securities.
Disclosure and Financial Ethics Code
TVA has a Disclosure and Financial Ethics Code which covers officers and certain employees involved in the preparation or review of financial information or other information for public disclosure in connection with TVA securities, and is designed to provide greater assurance that the information TVA discloses is accurate and complete.
Information Certification Policy
TVA's Annual Reports on Form 10-K and its Quarterly Reports on Form 10-Q are certified by the Chief Executive Officer, and the Chief Financial Officer.
The Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2005, changed TVA’s management structure, and requires TVA to file financial reports with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Learn more about these changes in Questions and Answers Regarding Legislative Changes to TVA.
Congressional Oversight
