1. DESCRIPTION
The Office of the Administrator for Policy and External Affairs (APEA) Unit of the
Patent and Trademark Office of the Department of Commerce administers and sponsors
the United States Intellectual Property Rights (USIPR) Training Database Website
(Website). Program sponsors provide information about the IPR activities included
in the Website.
2. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
APEA permits access to the Website subject to the following Terms of Use ("Terms"),
which may be updated from time to time without notice. You can review the most current
version of the Terms at any time by clicking the “Terms of Use” link within the
Website. In addition, when using the Website, you shall be subject to any posted
guidelines or rules applicable to such services which may be posted from time to
time. All such guidelines or rules are hereby incorporated by reference into the
Terms.
3. USER/MEMBER CONDUCT
You agree to not use the Website to:
a) post any material, or links to any material, which is knowingly false and/or
defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually
oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise violative
of any law;
b) Sponsors are the federal agencies who sponsor ip programs and will be responsible
for posting this information into the database.post any copyrighted material without
the express permission of the copyright holder, unless such copyright is owned by
you;
c) post any advertisements, chain letters, pyramid schemes, or solicitations;
d) forge headers or otherwise manipulate identifiers in order to disguise the origin
of any content transmitted through the Website; or
e) interfere with or disrupt the Website or servers or networks connected to the
Website, or disobey any requirements, procedures, policies or regulations of networks
connected to the Website.
4. CONTENT SUBMITTED FOR INCLUSION ON THE WEBSITE
Any information posted on the Website expresses only the views of the author and
does not necessarily reflect the views of these forums or any person or entity associated
with them. APEA monitors the content of the Website. We have the ability to edit
and/or remove objectionable information. Any user who believes that posted information
is objectionable is encouraged to contact us immediately. Upon receipt of such notification,
we will make every effort to take such action as we deem necessary within a reasonable
