Peter Viskup is wanted for international parental kidnapping in Georgia. Viskup shares joint legal custody of his 12-year-old son, Kevin Adam Viskup, with his ex-wife, with primary physical custody being granted to his ex-wife. On July 5, 2012, Peter Viskup left the United States and flew to the Czech Republic with his son during a regularly scheduled visitation. Kevin was supposed to have been returned to his mother in Georgia on July 13, 2012. Viskup and his son were last seen on the island of Tenerife in the Canary Islands of Spain.
Viskup was indicted by a Federal Grand Jury in the Northern District of Georgia on August 21, 2012, and a federal arrest warrant was issued for Viskup for removing a child from the United States with intent to obstruct parental rights and false statement in passport application. On or about September 5, 2012, a provisional arrest warrant was obtained through the United States Department of Justice and was sent to Spain; however, authorities have been unable to locate Viskup or his son.
Viskup enjoys miniature golf, swimming, snorkeling and camping. He is also an active investor in the stock market.
