James Wilson

Director, Human Resources Branch

James Wilson joined the U.S. Office of Special Counsel in August of 2011, coming from the Government Accountability Office, where he served as Director of the Human Capital Consulting Center. Prior to GAO, James held a similar position at the Federal Elections Commission, where he also was Acting Deputy Staff Director/Chief Human Capital Officer. Before the FEC, James was a Senior Advisor and Director, Office of Talent Recruitment and Personnel Operations at the Corporation for National and Community Service, and Director of the Presidential Management Fellows Program at the U.S. Office of Personnel Management. James himself was a Presidential Management Fellow at the National Institutes of Health, after earning his Ph.D. in Public Policy from Florida State University. He also holds Masters degrees in Applied Economics and Business Management. His B.S. is in Computer Science/Math from The Citadel.
