Jon Rabiroff
A native of Long Island, N.Y., Jon Rabiroff graduated from Syracuse University with a bachelor’s degree in newspaper journalism.
He went on to work as a reporter for The Register-Star in Hudson, N.Y., The Times-Union in Albany, N.Y., The Tampa Tribune in Florida and The Birmingham News in Alabama. Rabiroff then went to work for The News-Journal in Daytona Beach, Fla. where he eventually started working as an editor. That was followed by editing stints at The Orlando Sentinel, The Gainesville Sun and The Ocala Star-Banner, all in Florida, highlighted by eight years as the city editor in Gainesville.
In April 2009, Rabiroff returned to his roots when he took a job as a reporter for Stars and Stripes covering Area I, the northernmost region of South Korea.
